Exclusivitate! Taylor Jenkins Reid in dialog cu Replica Vedetelor!
Cand am inceput sa scriu "Maybe in Another Life", m-am bazat pe conceptul destinului si al sansei.
Replica Vedetelor: Adaptezi povestea celui de-al treilea volum ("After I do" - in pregatire la editura Leda) pentru un serial de televiziune. Ce vei schimba fata de povestea originala? Cunosti deja numele actorilor care vor juca in serial?
Taylor Jenkins Reid: Cartea se numeste "One True Loves" si va aparea in America in luna iunie.
Taylor Jenkins Reid: Este o intrebare dificila!
In continuare veti gasi interviul in engleza:
Replica Vedetelor: What was your favorite part of writing "Maybe in another life"? And "Forever, Interrupted"?
Taylor Jenkins Reid: So far, my favorite parts of both experiences has been to hear from readers what the stories meant to them. Writing can be both challenging and rewarding and with both "Forever, Interrupted" and "Maybe in Another Life", I remember having a much better time writing the first drafts than the editing process.
Replica Vedetelor: What inspired you in writing these books?
Taylor Jenkins Reid: With "Forever, Interrupted", I was inspired by my own marriage. I was really scared of losing my husband and I channeled all that fear and sat down to write a book about coming out the other side of grief.
With "Maybe in Another Life", I was excited by the concepts of fate and chance. I wanted to explore a story that allowed me to play with both of those ideas directly. And I've always been fascinated by stories with parallel universes! So I wanted to write one myself.
Replica Vedetelor: You're adapting your second book, "After I Do" for Freeform, will there be any major changes? Do you already know who is going to play the main characters or is it too early?
Taylor Jenkins Reid: It is too early to know about casting but I am working on the pilot at the moment. There will be small changes from the book, characters being condensed, storylines not following the exact pattern of the book. But the larger ideas and main characters are the same. I'm very excited about it!
Replica Vedetelor: How do you juggle writing that many different stories with its different characters?
Taylor Jenkins Reid: I try to limit myself so that I am not working on too many stories at the same time. My schedule is often working on one thing until it's at a place where I can hand it off to someone else, and then picking up another and doing that until it's done. Occasionally, I have to jump from thing to thing but at some point you learn your characters so well it's not too hard.
Replica Vedetelor: How long does it take to finish a book? Do you have a place that inspires you while you're writing?
Taylor Jenkins Reid: I love my office in my home. When the weather is nice, I can open up my doors to my backyard and it feels as if I'm writing half-outside.
It takes me a year to get a polished draft of a book. That's from the seed of the idea to having it fully ready to publish. But the first drafts take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks.
Replica Vedetelor: Can you share anything with us about your next books/projects?
Taylor Jenkins Reid: I have another book coming out this June in the US, called "One True Loves". It's about a woman who marries her high school sweetheart only to have his plane go missing. Years later, after she has become engaged to someone else, he's found alive, ready to come home to her. I'm very proud of it and eager to share it with readers.
Replica Vedetelor: What do you think the secret is to success?
Taylor Jenkins Reid: That's a hard one to answer! I think, for me, I've done well by being true to my voice. I work hard to do my thing and not let what other people think of me interfere too much. It's hard, though! I hear those voices telling me I should be doing things differently. I just do my best to quiet them and keep being me.
Replica Vedetelor: Do you want to send a message to your Romanian fans?
Taylor Jenkins Reid: Yes! Thank you so much for all of your support. It means the world to me to be able to share these books with people so many miles away. Mulțumesc foarte mult! (Did I get that right?)
